ENDOMETRIAL MICROBIOME METAGENOMIC ANALYSIS (EMMA)<\/h2>\n EMMA, which stands for \u201cEndometrial Microbiome Metagenomic Analysis,\u201d is a test that can identify whether the uterine microbial environment is favorable for embryo implantation.<\/span>\n

The Human Microbiome Project (HMP) highlighted the importance of different microorganisms and their genomes in human health and disease (Human Microbiome Project Consortium, 2012).

\r\nAn altered endometrial microbiota profile has been associated with unsuccessful outcomes. In contrast, the Lactobacillus genus has been associated with better live birth outcomes.

\r\nThe EMMA test uses the latest Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology to provide information about the endometrial microbiome by analyzing the complete profile of the endometrial microbial environment. This technology enables the identification and quantification of the bacteria present in the sample.
