ENDOMETRIAL MICROBIOME METAGENOMIC ANALYSIS (EMMA)
The Human Microbiome Project (HMP) highlighted the importance of different microorganisms and their genomes in human health and disease (Human Microbiome Project Consortium, 2012).
An altered endometrial microbiota profile has been associated with unsuccessful outcomes. In contrast, the Lactobacillus genus has been associated with better live birth outcomes.
The EMMA test uses the latest Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology to provide information about the endometrial microbiome by analyzing the complete profile of the endometrial microbial environment. This technology enables the identification and quantification of the bacteria present in the sample.
